Australian rapper, singer, and songwriter The Kid Laroi — real name Charlton Kenneth Jeffrey Howard — was only 17 years old when he needed some help with rollout and release assets for part 2 of his “F*ck Love” album trilogy. This would be no easy task, as the chart-topping artist had amassed millions of dedicated fans eagerly awaiting his debut album. With the bar set high, A World Away met the scope of this project by diving into previous solutions to create a compellingly dynamic album rollout for the Aussie native.
A World Away embraced this challenge and handled the creative direction and asset creation for Laroi’s part 2 (SAVAGE). Despite only being supplied a folder of RAW photographs and a basic creative description of the album, that didn’t stop us from delivering stellar work within our two-day turnaround time frame. After sharing a diverse array of concepts with Laroi’s team, they felt the very first rendition perfectly hit the mark and would help to further his brand — and we were tasked with working on creative strategy and assets for the music videos released under part 2’s tracks. With A World Away on his team, Kid Laroi became the youngest Australian artist to score a local #1 album, amassing 2.96 billion Spotify streams, and that count is still climbing two years later.
