/ About the project
Rob Werlinger, launching under the newly developed alias SATION, is an emerging artist set to debut in 2026 with a sound rooted in organic, analog-driven tech house. With no prior brand infrastructure in place, the project presented a rare opportunity to build an artist identity from the ground up — one that could support not just initial releases, but long-term creative evolution across music, visuals, and live performance. Seeking to establish a distinctive and future-ready presence, Rob partnered with A World Away to define every aspect of SATION’s world before its introduction to market.
A World Away led the full development of the SATION identity, beginning with the creation of the name itself — a concept designed to evoke motion, perception, and emotional depth. From there, we executed a complete brand and identity system, including logo development, typography direction, visual language, and a comprehensive brand guideline that would serve as the foundation for all future creative output. To bring the identity into the physical world, we directed and produced a cinematic press shoot in Los Angeles, capturing imagery that reflected the project’s analog textures and atmospheric tone. Alongside this, we developed release creative and collateral for SATION’s debut records, ensuring a cohesive visual rollout across streaming platforms, social media, and press.
The result is a fully realized artist ecosystem — one that positions SATION not simply as a new act, but as a considered and intentional creative project. Through strategic world-building, visual storytelling, and disciplined brand execution, A World Away transformed an early-stage concept into a scalable identity designed to evolve with every release, performance, and audience interaction to come.
